Adventures in Review - Week 31

MFW - Adventures Week 31 is full of Bible Scripture :) The kids took turns reading out of the Bible each day. The kiddos recently helped me plant corn in our garden, so, on Tuesday, instead of talking about a kernel of wheat, we changed it to a kernel of corn. ...Fit rather nicely and made more sense to the kids than the wheat would have.

We also covered North and South Dakota. Didn't have time to make the honey peanut butter balls b/c we went out of town, but we love the chocolate covered peanut butter balls Aunt Rinda makes. We will definitely have to try to honey version of them. The kids also took a liking to the Armed Services Medley...after all, the tune is rather catchy.

Because we were one the road traveling during the week, some school was done in the car. The kids didn't seem to mind ;) {I had a really cute picture to put here, but technology was not my friend this week. The SD card had a fatal error and most of my pictures were corrupted :( }

In language, one of the things the boys learned about were pronouns. So, of course, another CATegorical book was in order :)

  3. Jennifer - my sister just sent me a few more pictures from Legoland. Yay! Her husband coincidentally had a training to go to in Dallas at the exact hotel we were staying at while there. So, she went with us. I want to try those *honey* peanut butter balls soon.

    Monica - thanks for the reminder about posting. My kids have enjoyed the state studies, but looking over ECC for next year, I have to admit, I am really, really excited about getting into that.

  5. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm not very good at blogging...maybe next year. If I would have blogged when I still had 4 at home, I would have had much more to write about. Seems rather boring now! :) ENJOY every second! (sounds like you are)
